On Wednesday I headed to the fabulous MW Nails in Shoreditch for an evening of High End Beauty with World Duty Free at their #JetSetBeauty event . I think I may have squealed a little when the invite landed in my inbox as one of my favourite parts of the holiday experience or travelling abroad is the chance to pop into world duty free to swatch and try new make up - of course to buy too.
There's something about a duty free shop that makes us fall a little bit more in love with High End Beauty, maybe it's the amazing edited selection of products, or maybe it's the fact that things are that little bit cheaper than on the high street. The team at World Duty Free did such an amazing job organizing the evening and the attention to detail was outstanding. I had such an amazing time with April and Monica and the selection of brands on display to play with and swatch was perfection.
The Event was a high end beauty lovers dream and there were so many products on offer but I wanted to share my favourites with you. There were a selection of fragrances from the Marc Jacobs Daisy Collection, Mascara from YSL, I fell in love with the Burberry Body Perfume and actually squealed from excitement when I realised I'd been given a sample in a goody bag. I thought the YSL travel make up kit was incredible and such a perfect space saver in a travel make up bag.
I felt incredibly spoilt throughout the whole evening with the beautiful cookies, cupcakes, Prosecco (or elderflower cordial if you're a non drinker like me) and a fantastic manicure. Monica and I both opted for the same gorgeous dark o.p.i shade, whilst April went for a daring burgundy.
I loved the Clinique Chubby Stick Trio set, but the absolute stand out brand this evening has to be Givenchy. I Loved their travel exclusive pieces such as the Givency Glamour on the Go Palette which is a travel exclusive. I loved that it has a separate layer for each part of the face and an amazing clasp. The Givency Les Mini Prismes which looks just like a mini jewellery box with pull out drawers was divine and The Givency mini travel exclusive lip gloss set was just perfection, so much so that Monica and I wasted no time in swatching and applying it.
We had a fantastic evening thanks to World Duty Free and I think April had her day/week/year made when she met Ashley James' Puppy Snoop! The evening left me wondering one thing... when am I going on holiday next so I can buy new make up?
I'd love to hear what your favourite high end product is! Let me know in the comments!
