What Is Your Real Name?

I was actually born Rebecca Ford. However I very rarely ever use my legal name 'Rebecca' and have always wanted to change it ever since I was a child. I didn't have a personal connection to it as growing up, as for some reason I was always 'that kid' with a nickname and quite simply - I don't like it, so I don't use it in real life or online - I just haven't taken the leap and legally changed it to Em just yet. 

What is Em Short For?

Contrary to popular belief, Em is not short for Emma or Emily. 

Em Is actually short for my childhood nickname - 'Medusa' (seriously). As an 11 year old, I was called Medusa by friends for my long hair and long nails. I thought it was cool (I was 11... I thought anything was cool) and it was shortened to Meddy by my friends. I used to be totally into the Gossip Girl trend of signing off every email or text with the letter 'M' which is where 'Em' comes from. 

Who takes your pictures and films for you?

I create 99% of my content myself. On rare occasions I attempt to persuade my boyfriend into helping me with photographs or filming. Sometimes he agrees. 

I also worked in the tv/film  industry for many years before becoming a full time blogger, so know a large amount of film crew. For special productions I like to work in a team with brilliantly talented film makers to help bring my vision to life.
