HELLO AGAIN

A Scheduling Change....

Wednesday 29 October 2014

Since I started 'My Pale Skin' earlier  this year, I feel like I've grown not just as a blogger, but also as a writer, photographer, and content creator. I love all the opportunities it has opened for me, and I've also lost count of the amount of sleep deprived nights I've had because of it.

I absolutely love posting every day, I find it challenging, rewarding and fun to do... however, what it doesn't leave me with is time. I also love making videos - that's what I do for a living... I come up with ideas and make videos for brand YouTube channels... yet I can't keep up with my own and as this blog is a place of honesty... it upsets me.

I have so many ideas for things I want to do, achieve and post - but I often forget that I don't have every hour of the day to devote to it. I'm not superwoman, and you know what... it's okay to admit that too.

So, I've decided that I'm going to drop down my posts from 7 days a week to 5 days a week in November - purely as a trial, to see if I can post a video every week... I'm not sure if it will work, or if I have time to commit to that permanently... but if you don't try, you don't know right?

I'd love to hear your feedback on this, as you're the audience, it's only fair that you get a say right?
Let me know your thought's in the comments, I'd love to hear more about the type of posts and videos you like to watch.
Em  xxx

  2. I still don't know how you managed to post everyday of the week with a full time job - amazing! Five times a week it's plenty though, hope you have some more time for yourself now!

  3. Just started following your blog recently and I already love reading it, but 7 days or 5 days a week doesn't matter to me as long as it's still good content that I love reading (and if there's a video a week, even better). Hope this works out for you and you don't over work! Good luck!

  6. I don't think it matters how many times you post per week. If the content and photos are strong you could post just once a week and readers would be happy.
Personally I think I'd find it a challenge posting once a day. What would I write about and how would I find time to do it?

  7. It is such a slight change and you are still putting so much out there, so I think it is more than fine to put more effort into your videos. I definitely think you would regret not putting more time into them if you kept up with your blog routine.

  9. I think this sounds absolutely fine, I think it's easy to put pressure on yourself to achieve a certain amount of work when you're a blogger but it should be fun and for most people, it's a hobby. It's your time and you should get to spend it however you see fit, without having to worry about not doing 'enough' - you are enough and I'm sure every one of your followers would agree! Keep going Em, you're doing amazingly.
