NYX Wonder Pencil - Light Review

Friday, 17 October 2014

The NYX wonder pencil is quite simply a product that really does live up to it's name. Billed as a product which can fulfill every beauty desire, it's a marvelous multi-functional pencil that not can not only be used to brighten eyes by lining the waterline, but also as a concealer, brow highlighter, lip liner and even a lip primer... is there anything this pencil can't do?

NYX are a brand which don't seem to get much love over here in the UK as they're quite difficult to get your hands on. The only place to buy them physically in store (on the high street) are selected NEXT stores, and I'm sad to say that every time i've paid a visit to a store which stocks NYX, the stand has been in a terrible unloved state.
However, I was lucky to have come across a stand which was in a much happier condition at the Olympia Beauty Trade Show.

There are three shades available, retailing at £4.50 and of course I bought the lightest shade. For the price, it's an absolute bargain, and after testing it out over the past week I've been super impressed. I think my favourite use for it has to be as a concealer/brow highlighter. It blends so easily under the brows to create a smooth sharp arch and cleans up my Anastasia Beverly Hills so nicely.

I really wish I bought more of these pencils as I can think of so many uses for it and I'd much prefer to have a separate pencil for lining lips/eyes to keep things neater. Overall, a fantastic product and if you find a chance to buy one of these, I highly recommend it.

  3. This sounds so lovely! It looks really creamy and pigmented! for £4.50 you definitely can't complain if it doubles up as a concealer too!

  4. Oooh very nice, I tend to use the Benefit brightener or the Rimmel Scandal Eyes, however the Rimmel one is slightly too dark for me. This one looks like it'd be perfect!

  9. This sounds perfect for what I'm after! I wish all Next stores would sell NYX rather than the estranged, far away stores :(
