On Friday morning, the MAC Cinderella collection was finally released in the UK, and unsurprisingly, it sold out within 20 minutes. I was really hoping it wouldn't release on Friday with it being the one day of the week that I wasn't in front of my computer as I was attending my part time advertising course at a local London University and was spending the whole day in the classroom.

MAC x Cinderella Collection Announcement.
Saturday, 18 October 2014
This week MAC Cosmetics announced that they are releasing a Cinderella inspired collection which will be hitting stores in March and I cannot explain how excited I am about this.
As a Child (and partly now) I had a huge obsession with Cinderella. I have a very vivid memory of when I was around 8 years old, playing in the garden and wishing to be an adult so I could legally change my name to Cinderella. I slept with a poster of her above my bed and growing up I always dreamed of a Cinderella inspired pale blue wedding dress.
From the publicity image, I'd expect cute crystal inspired packaging, maybe some icy blue eyeshadow or even a silver glitter eyeliner. I'm hoping to see girly products, certainly a light pink lipstick and a pale pink blush, but i'm definitely looking forward to being surprised with what MAC releases. I have a feeling I'm going to be buying every product on release day...
I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you think will be in the collectonn?

MAC #35 Eyelashes Review
Thursday, 11 September 2014
Oh what I'd give for natural long wispy lashes but unfortunately I was blessed with short stumps... if you're like me and suffer the same stumpy lash fate then that's okay, because MAC has your back.
I recently picked up the MAC #35 Lashes a few weeks ago whilst I was at Kings Cross Station in London. I love that there's a MAC store there and just being able to pop in and browse whilst waiting for a train is a nice touch.
I'd seen these lashes on a few people on Instagram and I loved how they added glamour but in an unusual way. You may have noticed these lashes in my Kylie Jenner Tutorial. The MAC #35 eyelashes are a strip lash which provides more length and body towards the centre of the eye, rather than at the outer corner and are made up of several individual strands clumped together.
The only downside with these lashes for me is the length and that they require a fair amount of curling as they're practically straight when you buy them. I wish they were just ever so slightly shorter, and when I spoke to some of the artists at MAC about them, they didn't recommend trimming them down, so with these eyelashes, it's a case of go hard or go home.
At £10.50 they're not the cheapest, but they are worth investing in if you don't wear lashes that often as they can be reused. I'm not sure these passed the boyfriend test, but they're growing on me, and I don't hate them just yet.
I'd love to hear your honest thoughts on these eyelashes! Let me know in the comments...

Foundations For Pale Skin: Pale Test #6 Mac Prep+Prime BB Beauty Balm - Extra Light
Friday, 1 August 2014
I get asked on an almost daily basis which foundations and concealers are the best for pale skin tones, and this series is going to explore all different types of products from varying brands and at all price levels which will hopefully help you to make a decision on which foundation and concealer is right for you!
In universal skin tone terms.. I'm an NC15 in Mac. However, Mac isn't really doing it for me at the moment, so i'm on the hunt for a replacement that will be the perfect foundation for My Pale Skin.
Price: £24.00
Packaging: The Mac Prep + Prime BB Beauty Balm comes in a sparkly plastic tube which a screw on lid. The lid is made out of standard Mac matte black plastic ... the material that no matter how much I try, I can't seem to get away from. The packaging doesn't really have the wow factor, but it is functional.
Coverage: The product gives a light coverage, it can be built up to a certain extent, but if you're looking for a product that will fully cover blemishes without the need for a concealer, this is likely not the product for you.
Colour: The Mac Prep + Prime BB Beauty Balm in Extra Light is on the warmer side of the pale spectrum as it has a slightly beige/pink undertone to it, make sure you check it in daylight if you have yellow or cool undertoned skin.
Finish: This product gives a luminous dewy finish that naturally blends into the skin without looking heavy. It enhances the skin, and I find that on my pale skin it gives it more life and stops it looking dull.
Final Verdict: I wasn't sure what to make of this product at first as it's so different to anything i'm used to wearing. The Mac Prep + Prime offers a similar amount of coverage to a tinted moisturiser, and is the perfect product for hot summer days as it offers 35spf. It's light, easy to apply and the finish is natural enough to look like you aren't wearing anything at all. However, if you're looking for a product which will cover blemishes or dark circles then you may be disappointed with this one as you will need to pair it with a full coverage concealer to mask any problem areas.
In regards to colour, i'm pleased to report that it has PASSED the pale test, although if you have cool toned skin, make sure you check it in daylight for peace of mind. The one major downside with this product I do have to warn about is that if you get it in your eyes - it stings like crazy! So make sure you take your time when applying near the eye area. Quite a few times I had to bathe my eyes after getting a bit happy with the foundation brush... I do think this product is worth a shot if you're prepared to stump up the £24.00 and if you're on the fence, ask for a sample to try it out before you buy!
As Always, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this foundation or what you'd like me to try next, let me know in the comments.

The Love List - Playing with NYX 'Sweet Pink' Matte Lipstick
Tuesday, 4 March 2014
Okay, I think I love this NYX Sweet Pink Matte lipstick. The colour pay off is amazing.
I didn't know what to expect with these, but I did not think they would be this pigmented, easy to wear and glide on so smoothly. NYX matte lipsticks are in my eyes bang on par with MAC. I only picked up 2 shades from the Matte line, but my gosh do I wish I bought more!
As the lipstick was so vibrant, I've paired it with a nude and natural eye, soft pink blush and I've also contoured with NYX taupe.
At only £6.00 a lipstick, I think these are a bargain.
Have you tried any of the NYX Matte lipsticks? Which are your favourites?

[Haul] Mini MAC Weekend Haul 15/02/14
Sunday, 16 February 2014
This weekend I made a trip to Mac to pick up some concealer as I'd run out, which is never a good thing. Even more so when you have to go to a wedding the next day and want to look your best throughout it, without re-applying. The Studio Finish concealer is my HG concealer, and during the past two days without it I've noticed how much it actually covers under my eyes and any blemishes... I can't live without it!
I also had 4x empty Studio Fix Foundation bottles and 2x Studio Finish Concealer tubs to take back to the store for the Back 2 Mac program. I really like how Mac is encouraging people to recycle and bring your empties back and in exchange you receive a Lipstick of your choice for free!
Here's what I picked up altogether... the grand total of this mini haul was £27.00 or $45.00!
The Products
MAC Matte Lipstick in Pink Plaid
Cost - £0!!
I had this lipstick for free as part of the Back 2 Mac program. I'd be after it for a while as I love this shade. When I tried picking it up from Mac in Spitalfields, they didn't have it in stock, so i'm pleased I managed to pick it up from the Covent Garden Store.
Mac Lip Pencil- Hip n Happy
Cost - £12.00
A new lipstick needs a new lip pencil! I got this one to go perfectly with my Pink Plaid.
Mac Studio Finish Concealer - NC15
Price - £15.00
My HG Concealer. I swear by this for under my eyes and blemish cover. Can't live without it.
Bonus Sample!
Mac Studio Moisture Tint - Light
So i've been thinking about getting a new base product to wear on weekends, or when I might not need such a full coverage. I like the idea of using a tinted moisturiser as a base and then covering up any blemishes I may have with my Studio Fix concealer. I'm looking forward to trying this out!
Bonus Sample!
Mac Prep & Prime BB Beauty Balm - Extra Light
I've heard so many good things about BB creams! I am yet to try one, so thought i'd start off with one from Mac. I'll compare this in terms of coverage to the tinted moisturiser to really see the difference between the two products.
I'm really looking forward to testing these products and creating looks using them!
I'll be back with pics and swatches soon!
[Tutorial] My Margot Robbie inspired, pale girl contouring & step by step tutorial.
Friday, 31 January 2014
Margot Robbie is beautiful. She shot to fame this year after appearing in The Wolf of Wall Street. I love her look. Her hair, make up and style is always to perfection. Natural waves and nude lips seem to be her signature style, which is great because they're both part of my everyday look. I like the natural glow she has going on and the almost effortless way it's all brought together.
Margot Robbie.

Clean, Moisturize and Prime your face. I use Nivea Cream to moisturize and Benefit Porefessional to prime and smooth out my skin. I find it also makes my make up last longer throughout the day.
![]() |
Apply your base foundation. I used 1/2 pumps of Mac Studio Fix Foundation in shade NC15 and applied it using my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.
Contour. I Used my Chanel Pro Lumiere Foundation in shade 60 Hale, and Illamasqua Skin Base in shade 01 white.
Next I blended it all together, added some Studio Fix Concealer in shade NC15 under my eyes/ middle of my chin and finished it with B. Pressed powder in Light/Medium.
Bronze & Blush! using my Bourjois Paris Bronzer in shade 52 I went over the same areas that I contoured in the previous step, focusing on cheek bones, forehead and jawline. I then added blush, Bourjois Little round pot, shade frosted rose on the apples of my cheeks
Eyes. I put a base on my lids and bottom waterline using NYX Milk, which was then ligtly blended out. Next comes the Naked Basics palette. I applied Foxy all over my lids, used Naked 2 in my crease and added a bit of smoke in the outer corners using Faint.
Brows & Wing. I filled in my brows using my Sleek brow Palette - Light. Then Added a wing using a cheap smudge-able drugstore eyeliner. This wing doesn't have to be neat as it's going to be smudged to add an extra layer of depth to the eyes.
Wing. I smudged in an upwards motion to blend out the pencil liner, then Winged it for real using my B. Gel eyeliner pot.
Mascara & lips. I applied my go to mascara Bourjois Paris Volume clubing Ultra Black and applied a few swipes of my Body Shop Born Lippy Pink berry tinted Lip Balm.
And we're done! Now is the time for you to add your favourite lashes and tame and style that hair to pull off a convincing red carpet glamour look.
Thanks for reading, and I'll be back with more celebrity inspired tutorials soon!
