The Best Bargain Eyeliner.

Monday, 12 January 2015

If there's one thing I've learnt over the past year of blogging, it's that you don't always have to spend a fortune on a product to find one that works perfectly for you. The Collection Extreme 24hr Felt Liner £2.99  is a product that I find hard to live without, and if i'm wearing eyeliner, it's the first product I reach for.

What I love about the eyeliner is that the tip isn't too firm, and works with you. I've noticed with numerous eyeliners that I can struggle to get a perfect winged eye if I'm constantly fighting against the product. If the tip is too hard, then it can drag across the eye, and if it's too soft your stroke can wobble meaning you'll have an almost messy line. The collection Extreme Felt Liner works well because although the tip has some structure - it offers movement too!

The eyeliner applies west, and dries super fast- without bleeding and lasts all day - which is perfect if you don't have time or just don't want to use a primer. However, like most products there are some negatives too. I really wish Collection would plastic wrap their eyeliners as when you buy them in the shop, you have no idea how many people have swatched the product or opened it before you take it home. I also find that within around a month or two. the tip has started to dry out. to get it working again, I find pressing it onto the edge of the lid works - but this isn't a great fix.

I love this eyeliner, and although I find myself constantly swooning over the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, I don't have a trip to the states planned any time soon, so Collection - you'll be staying in my make up bag for good.

I'd love to hear about your favourite eyeliner! Let me know what products you can't live without in the comments.

Bourjois are one of my absolute favourite drugstore brands. From blushers and eyeshadows to Mascara, chances are that on a daily basis i'm wearing at least one of their products... and when Bourjois have a new product released, you betcha that i'm excited to see what it is.
The Boujois Quad Smokey Stories collection* contains 8 different mini eyeshadow palettes that each feature 3 cream to powder shades and a shimmering glitter which can be worn to accent in the corners of the eyes, or even dabbed over your finished eye look for a bit more glamour.

At the Blogger Event last week I was lucky enough to see the entire collection, have a play with the colours and get to know these eyeshadows a little better. I was also kindly gifted 4 of them to play with and I can't wait to show you guys some looks created using them!

Grey  & Night: Is a gorgeous collection of satin silver shades. Perfect for day to night smokey eye look.
Over Rose: A romatic collection of rosy shadows which I think would make the perfect first date make up!
Rock This Khaki: A collection of autumnal green eyeshadows which I fell in love with instantly. There's something about these shadows that I just adore.
Good Nude: The most understated of the 4, potentially great as an everyday shadow palette and that glitter may just be the thing which sets it apart from others.

I can't wait to experiment and share some looks using these shadows with you all! Which are your favourites? Let me know in the comments!

P.S You may have noticed that I'm also using some new backgrounds to try and mix it up a little bit! Would love to hear your thoughts on that too.

When it's hot outside, the last thing I want to do is spend ages on a full face of makeup for it to melt away in the heat. With that in mind, I created this look using products which over the past few months and weeks have proved themselves to be long lasting during the warm weather whilst also being quick and easy to apply.

This look is perfect for a weekend adventure, or even a trip out with friends. You can easily dress it up by smoking out the eye, and dress it down if the bright lips are too much by choosing something more subtle like a pink/nude matte lip.

If you'd like to recreate this look, all the details are below:

Eyelashes: Eylure Texture 154

Flower Crown: £4.00 at Primark. (Recent)

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this look! What outfit would you pair it with? Let me know in the comments!
