Last night I headed over to Kleins Hair Salon in Canary Wharf, London for a night of nibbles, hair and blogging fun at the Hair Rehab London Blogger event. After a bit of dodgy map reading ( I rarely leave Central London), I made my way to the hair salon and was greeted with a gorgeous glass of pink lemonade and smiles from the team.

Lauren came over, and said hey straight away and we chatted for a while. It was one of those funny moments where we both tried our hardest to work out if we'd met each other before. We moved in similar circles many years ago and knew many of the same people. Lauren was at the top of her modeling game when I had dreams of being in the same industry as a teenager and I even remember watching her on Tycoon to try and gain investment for her company from Peter Jones. At the time it was rare for a glamour model to be on mainstream television - let alone a business program. I'd also been told that we went to view the same horrendously hideous flat in Central London many years ago, needless to say we both had a little giggle over it when I mentioned it.

I had a quick catch up with Perfectly Polished whom I met at the Gelish Nails Day Event, and then It was on to the hair styling.

We decided to try the Syn Snap Ponytail* in platinum on my hair to try something different. Lauren and the team worked their hair magic and I honestly felt like a classic pop star with my high pony and tumbling blonde locks. I loved how quick and easy the pony is to apply and I do look forward to trying it out and seeing what looks I can create using it.

I had so much fun at the event and got spoilt massively with a generous amount of hair products in a goodie bag to take home. Hair Rehab Products can be purchased at Superdrug, or online HERE.

Beauty Works Deluxe Clip In Hair Extensions Review

Beauty Works Deluxe Clip In Hair Extensions Review

Beauty Works Deluxe Clip In Hair Extensions Review #613 #60

Beauty Works Deluxe Clip In Hair Extensions Review #613 #60

If you're a fan of tumbling locks during the summer, but haven't been blessed by the hair gods, then chances are you've thought about or tried hair extensions. I've been testing out Beauty Works Deluxe Clip-in Extensions* in shade #60/#613 in the hope of getting the perfect summer ready hair.

These Beauty Works, Deluxe Clip-in Extensions* are 16" and retail for £104.99 and although the price is a little eye watering, the quality is amazing. Beauty Works matched my hair to shade #60/#613 and after forgoing the darker toner on my hair, I managed to get them to match perfectly.

These extensions are made of 100% Remy human hair, and weigh 140g per pack. Each pack contains 3 wefts, which surprised me as when i've tried clip-ins previously, there has always been around 8-10 clips per pack.  You get:

2x 11inch wefts (4 clips)
1x 8inch nape weft (2 clips)

However, what really surprised me about these extensions is how thick and luscious they are. The hair is thick from clip to tip, and doesn't have the scraggly factor that some cheaper extensions do. If you're used to wearing lots of clip in extensions at once, you may find that these these have a different style of wear-ability - for me,they sit lower on my head blend with the bottom layers of my hair to look incredibly natural. However if I had more layers, or thicker hair, then I feel as though there may have been a struggle to get them to blend as you only get the 3x pieces.

Overall, I thought the quality of these hair extensions was outstanding, and they're probably some of the best i've ever tried for that reason, I just wish they came with one or two more wefts for better blending and positioning.

Have you tried Beauty Works* Hair Extensions? I'd love to hear your thoughts, let me know in the comments! xxx

Dirty Looks Hair Extensions* Review!

Friday, 11 April 2014

Long blonde hair with tumbling curls has always been a dream of mine and over the past 2 weeks I've been testing out Dirty Looks  'HK' Extensions* in the hopes of reaching my dream hairstyle.  I decided to shade match my own hair, as It's an unusual colour at the moment due to a build up of silver shampoo and I know roughly what colour my hair is when that's washed out. I chose the shade 'Paparazzi Blonde' and after eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Dirty Looks Extensions* I was over the moon when they arrived.  The Extensions themselves come safely ziplocked in a pretty lilac box and what really makes them special is that they're split into two sections.

You have the main bulk of extensions and cleverly the hair colour test section! How cool is that? I've never seen a company have the brains to do this before and I was thoroughly impressed. I whipped the test section out, and clipped it into my hair, it was a match!

The extensions themselves are a wonderful quality. They're Remy human hair and so so thick! I chose the 20-22inch length (which weigh a whopping 180g) as when curled they can easily lose a few inches. Dirty Looks* seem to have thought of everything with these extensions as they even come with spare clips and this handy guide of where to position them! Did I mention the wefts are numbered too? So if like me you're a bit useless first thing in the morning, you really can't go wrong.

And what do they look like in??

I think I can safely say that my Disney Princess Hair dream has been achieved! After road testing and non stop wear over the past two weeks, I've never had so many compliments on my hair. They're brilliant quality and hold curls well. Even the Headmasters Hair Stylists were thoroughly impressed by them at Bloggers Fashion Week and kept asking me where they were from.  These extensions definitely  get my seal of approval.
