Daniel Wellington Watch, St Andrews

There's something about a beautiful sleek wristwatch that just  screams 'Hello' and 'I'm ready for business'. The current king of the wristwatch has to be Daniel Wellington* - especially if the endless amount of beautiful images that keep popping up on Instagram is anything to go by.

If you're still struggling for gift ideas, then look no further! I think any lady would be pleased to find this under the tree.

When the Daniel Wellington team got in touch with me and asked if I'd like to feature one in my gift guide, I jumped at the chance as I'd be craving one for a while. There are so many beautiful styles available, and it was incredibly hard to decide which watch to go for. I wanted something that was simple, elegant and timeless, so I chose the Classic Sheffield* £159 with the simple black strap. For the watch face, I chose Rose Gold, as I love how it gives that extra touch of glamour.
I'm also a big fan of items being versatile, so I chose a 'St Andrews'* £49 strap to interchange, depending on my mood and outfit.

I also have an exclusive discount code for anyone that's interested in ordering one. For 15% off, enter code: holidaymypaleskin at the checkout. There is still time to order before Christmas on Express Delivery -woohoo!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this watch? Which Strap is your favourite? Let me know in the comments.

Lifestyle #2: Life, Layers & Laughter.

Tuesday, 30 September 2014

On Sunday, My Partner M and I headed over to Greenwich for the Greenwich Comedy Festival. M had surprised me with tickets to the comedy festival as i'd never actually been to a comedy show before. This was an unusual Sunday for us, as we usually swear by the holy 'Lazy Sunday' and we also rarely leave the flat  on weekends, let alone get the tube as one of the perks of Zone 1 living.

We had some time to kill before the show started so after a little wander we found our way to Greenwich Market where we bought 3 beautifully handmade kaleidoscopes. M had been looking for an interesting one for quite a while and a case of 'right place, right time' led us to these ones. I tried on a pair of round sunglasses on another stall and even though i'd never felt so 'fashion' in my life, I couldn't help but feel a little ridiculous.
After a quick non alcoholic drink in a local pub, we headed over to the National Maritime Museum where the Comedy Festival was taking place. a quick bite to eat and some impromptu magic from a magician who was fond of eating cards (not really) and of course a bag of candyfloss, it was time for the show.

There were four comics on stage throughout the evening  - Ardal O’Hanlon, Nina Conti, Shappi Khorsandi and John Robins and we had such a fun time at the Comedy Festival and I look forward to the next comedy show we attend!

The Primark Blogging Masterclass with 'InTheFrow'

Thursday, 18 September 2014

Last night I was lucky enough to accompany the beautiful Joanne from Blog De Sherrell to the Primark Blogging Masterclass with Victoria from In The Frow.

I met up with Joanne at The Brunswick Centre, and after a quick pit stop at Starbucks, we headed over to the event which took place at Primark's Press Office in Russell Square, Central London. We were greeted by some cute canapes, cookies and drinks along with an exclusive look at their upcoming AW14 Collection.

There were so many amazing pieces on show and I was impressed not only by the quantity, but the quality of the pieces on offer and how truly on trend the new collection is. I fell in love with the beautiful baby pink biker jacket, as well as some of the gorgeous statement necklaces, jaw dropping knitwear and there are some beautiful coats coming out soon!

Joanne and I took out seats in the front row and really enjoyed listening to Victoria talk about her biggest 'pinch me' moment - wining the Company Blog Awards for the first time (followed by the second), her blogging process, favourite image editing app, blog schedule and even her hopes for the future.

It's always so lovely to hear bloggers talk fondly of their blogs, success, and even hopes and dreams. I've watched Victoria's blog grow massively the past year and I think everything she has achieved is amazing.

I had an amazing time and feel like I've been thoroughly spoilt by Primark with a goody bag and gift card to pick up some new clothes! A massive thanks to Joanne for letting me come along as her +1 and to Victoria for speaking so eloquently, openly and honestly.

Needless to say, i'm sure there will be a primark haul coming soon... if you have any great AW suggestions on what to pick up, let me know in the comments.

'London Edge' Alternative Fashion Show - (In Pictures)

Friday, 12 September 2014

London Edge, trade Show, Alternative fashion, London, Olympia,

On Sunday I headed to London Edge with the beautiful Monica from Moth Loves. As a former teenage punk, I was super excited when Monica invited me along with her as I hadn't been in the alt scene for so long, I was interested and intrigued to see the latest offerings from that world.

First things first, we headed to the press area and got to hang out with tons of other bloggers and got gifted an amazing goody bag, (I felt so spoilt) then it was off to meet the brands and we walked around the entire show in  group of 15 bloggers, cameras equipped to take it all in.

There were some amazing masks on offer from The Original Atelier. I got to try on one of the black masquerade masks which I think this would look amazing with a jet black glittery eye. Monica and I fell in love with the style and grace of the ladies from The Pin Up Academy.  I absolutely adored these bottle necklaces from Coucou Heart and if i had space, I'd love to have them on display on a shelf or a dressing table constantly. I loved these alternative disney princess T shirts from Twisted Apparel and I think the grumpy Alice In Wonderland tank is genius. Iron Fist had some amazing shoes and I really loved the unicorn slip on shoes. Unfortunately i'm not sure which stand this amazing lipstick necklace is from, but oh my gosh is it cute. Whilst Vanity Project Dresses had some gorgeous prints.

Bebop Hairbands* had some beautiful hairbands on display and I managed to pick one up in my amazing gift bag and I can't wait to try a 50's make up look wearing it. Dead Lovers Clothing had a gorgeous street style printed dress and I loved the sugar skull inspired bag from Sullen Clothing. Monica literally threw her Prada bag across the floor to get to the fabulous unicorn hoodie from Cyberdog.  Finally, I totally fell in love with this beautiful crystal choker from Prong Jewellery and I can just imagine creating an edgy Queen Elsa look wearing it.

I had an amazing day out with Monica and met some other lovely bloggers and brands. It was so nice to spend the day At London Edge, and I look forward to the next show!
