A couple of months ago, I received a few skincare samples from Eucerin and I tested many of them over the space of a few weeks to give them a fair chance on my skin. However, it was only when I finished the sample pot and moved on to another product that wasn't properly working for me, that I realised how much I missed the Eucerin Even Brighter Day Cream.

On a recent trip to Westfields I popped into Boots and purchased the full size product. The Eucerin Even Brighter Day Cream retails at £22.50 for 50ml.

What I like about this cream is that it reduces the appearance of pigmentation spots which can be caused by sun damage or even acne. Although I don't have sun spots, I do have some mild hyper pigmentation caused by mild acne, which can be more prominent on my pale skin, so this product will hopefully become a tool to combat those for me. It also contains 30 SPF and doesn't make my skin more oily which is also a bonus. I'm going to use the Eucerin Even Brighter Day Cream over the next 4 weeks, and will give an in depth review on my thoughts.

Have you used any of the Eucerin Products before? Let me know in the comments, I'd love to hear some product recommendations for what to try next!

Eucerin, Dermo Purifyer, Cleanser, Acen prone skin, review

Eucerin, Dermo Purifyer, Cleanser, Acen prone skin, review

Skin care. Two little words which fill me with fear every time. I'll admit, it's one area in which my knowledge is lacking and when Escentual offered me the chance to review the Eucerin Dermo Purifyer Cleanser I gladly took it up as I could do with the help.

Eucerin is a new brand to me, I hadn't heard of it before, nor had I used any of their products. The purifyer cleaner enticed me as it has a soap free formula which is not only antibacterial but states that it removes excess sebum, as well as helping blemish and acne prone skin - which is just what I need after a few skin care disasters this year.

In order to give this product a fair review, I solely used the cleanser on it's own. I used it twice a day, by squeezing some product onto my hands, working into a lather with a drop of water and massaging into my dry skin. I found that applying in this way to dry skin helped lift and remove my make up. Even mascara and eyeliner budged with this product!

After using it for a couple of weeks, I didn't notice a massive difference to any excess sebum on my nose, but what I did notice was that my T-Zone seemed less oily and most importantly, my break outs seemed to be clearing up. I went through the entire bottle over the period of around a month or so and when I ran out, I stopped.  I'm a cynic, and I guess I didn't really take in how much my skin had improved using this product as after a couple of weeks of not using it - my acne prone skin was back and I had breakouts galore.

I guess, something clicked, and I had a light bulb moment, so I headed out to try and track it down in store and made my way to about the 3rd Boots before I found it and purchased it. At £9.00 it's high on the drugstore cleanser price scale, but after just a couple of days of welcoming it back into my life - I can safely say that for my skin, it's worth it. I'm hoping my skin will thank me for it, and it will calm down and get back to 'normal' - whatever normal may be.

I'd love to hear your product recommendations for Acne Prone skin - let me know in the comments.
