Introducing the Neutrogena Visibly Clear® Light Therapy Acne Mask | Advertorial
Sunday, 2 April 2017
Sometimes, it can be
the little things in life which can be the scariest when you have
acne. When my skin was at its worst, I remember well the feeling of
looking in the mirror and being unhappy with what I saw reflected
back at me. Knowing that I had a dinner event, or a party to go to
often caused me so much anxiety and worry that more often than not –
I would cancel my plans and rearrange for 'another time'.
But what if those
spotlight moments where it feels like the whole world is staring at
your skin rather than your eyes happen every day?
How to Live The London Look - Advertorial
Friday, 27 January 2017
If there's one thing I
love, It's makeup and style with a bit of grit. My style has always
veered on the edgier side, and often the brightest colour you'll find
in my wardrobe is Khaki Green.
As a teenager I was
obsessed with skateboarding, punk music, alternative fashion and
generally rebelling against the system.
When Rimmel London
invited me to take part in their very first RimmelRoadTrip, I was
super excited to revisit my old teenage stomping ground in Cardiff
and give Fleur De Force a tour of the city. As a teen, many
Saturday's were spent skateboarding through the city centre with my
friends, Listening to music, sitting by the fountains & attending
music shows. It felt like the city was alive, and as teenager, image
was everything.
Stranger Things Eleven Makeup & Costume Tutorial
Thursday, 6 October 2016
Anyone else as obsessed with Stranger Things as me? YES? Well then this is the Tutorial for you!
I wanted to take this costume to the next level, so custom made an Eggo handbag to go with it. I feel like Eleven would love it, and I do too!
It's super easy to do, and I've actually been wearing the handbag as an everyday throw on my shoulder kinda bag and been getting the most insane compliments on it - people can't believe I made it! I suppose it's the glossy acrylic box that does that?
The bag it's self is a super cheap acrylic handbag I purchased on eBay HERE for less than £10!!
I then roped in my ever patient and talented BF to help make a template that fit the exact measurements of the bag. It's so simple to do, just download and print out the PDF we created HERE, cut it out carefully along the outside, fold and pop into the bag! Secure on the inside with a touch of scotch tape and you'll be ready to go before you can even say demogorgon!
Happy Halloween!

The Marc Jacobs Beauty Airblush Duo Launch
Wednesday, 24 August 2016
Sometimes
an email lands in my inbox, and I squeal a little with excitement.
This was definetly the case recently I was invited to L.A, California
for the launch of the brand new Marc Jacobs Beauty Airblush Duo.
Set
in the goreous Beverly Hills Hotel, the launch took place over brunch
in the beautiful hotel gardens, and just oozed old Hollywood glamour.
Gilbert Soliz, head
makeup artist for Marc Jacobs Beauty was on hand to give
demonstrations using the Airduo Blush range (inspired by one of the
first celebrity makeup Artists – Way Bandy) and it was incredible
to hear about how Bandy and Jacobs were friends and club kids
together back in their heyday.
Inspired by the
creative vision and styles of Way Bandy, the range is all about
beautifully draped cheeks, using a silky soft air whipped pressed
powder. Available in 5 different shades and suitable for all skin
tones, the blush contains a fusion of lighter and deeper shades with
each palette being hand filled and inspired by vintage cigarette
cases.
The Lines and Last
Night Airblush Duo is my favourite of the bunch, with it's gorgeous
golden peachy tones, it's incredibly flattering on fairer skin tones.
Long lasting and buildable to truly sculpt your cheeks for that Way
Bandy look, it has been a struggle to go a day without wearing this
blush since it has come into my life.
Priced at £28.00 and available exclusively today at John Lewis and in-store on Oxford Street on 1st September in the UK.Also available in Sephora in the US, these blushes are worth checking out and welcoming into your makeup bag.

Summer Skin Saviours from La Roche-Posay | Advertorial
Wednesday, 10 August 2016
I admit, when it comes
to hot weather – I fail miserably. I've been travelling more and
more recently, and during a trip to LA, I got to experience the
hottest weather I've ever been subjected to.
There were a few things
I learnt during that trip to LA. One thing being to never travel to a
warm climate without a deep conditioning hair mask & hair oil.
The second being that a good SPF is absolutely vital.
The La Roche-Posay
Anthelios XL Dry Touch cream
is one of my favourite SPF products. I love how easy it is to use –
with a small amount being all you need to cover your whole face. It's
light on the skin and blends out beautifully without leaving a greasy
texture behind. This has certainly been a skin saviour for me in
recent months, and It's one of the first items I reach for come
morning time.
For quick summer
morning skin prep, the La Roche-Posay Micellar water (which I previously spoke about here) is
a winner – especially come morning time. It's packed with micells
to help remove dirt & pollution from your skin. It feels soothing
oand a quick swipe over your face with a cotton pad in the AM is
often all you need before you're ready for makeup application.
For those on the go,
the brand new La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+] Unifiant could
be the saviour you’ve been looking for.
Ideal for post gym makeup application or if you're having a no makeup
day. It's the same formula as the Effaclar Duo [+] that helps to
fight against acne-prone skin this time with a hint of a tint to
unify the tone of blemishes while working to reduce their size and
redness whilst unclogging pores at
the same time. Ideal for those days when you have no desire to apply
makeup but would also like a little coverage, Alternatively, if full
coverage is your thing – you can also wear it
under foundation as a primer to get the best of both worlds!
What are your summer
skin saviours? Let me know in the comments below!

Skin Analysis & Drugstore Skincare – Advertorial
Sunday, 17 April 2016
Over the past couple of years my knowledge of beauty and skincare has expanded further than I ever thought it would. My skin was relatively clear as a teenager, and as such I didn't pay too much attention to skincare. I used an eclectic combination of whichever basic drugstore skincare was currently on offer and went on my life. Sure I had the occasional break out here and there, but it was never anything serious - never anything that didn't pass in a few days. My elder brother on the other hand, did have acne as a teenager, and low and behold the genes finally caught up with me in my twenties.
Exploring Paris & French Skincare with La Roche-Posay | Advertorial
Tuesday, 1 March 2016
It wasn't until I developed adult acne, did I learn to appreciate good skincare. I'd always had relatively good skin, even throughout my teens and seemed to avoid that 'life ending' puberty led onslaught of acne. Of course I had the odd blemish here and there, but never anything too extreme.
Growing up with a single mother who didn't care much for makeup, skincare or beauty products, I learnt through trial and error, and women's magazines which skincare products to use. Needless to say, I picked up a few terrible beauty care tips... (Does anyone else shudder with horror at the thought of putting toothpaste on breakouts and baby powder in their hair now?)

Hello Again...
Hello... It's me.
I was wondering if after all this time - you'd like to read...
So here we are, It's March 2016 and I'm not even going to pretend that sitting in front of a blank page and trying to find the right words to type is easy, because I'm so out of touch it's certainly far from it.
I never intended for this blog to become a long lost beauty graveyard, but over the past year, somehow that's the way it seems to have turned out.
YOU LOOK DISGUSTING

Top 5 Instagram Feeds - March Edition
Thursday, 26 March 2015
Okay, I have a problem. I've totally gotten into Instagram over the past few months and I just can't stop scrolling. I got my very first iPhone last year, and for the first 6months or so, I kept forgetting Instagram existed... but over the past few months i've become obsessed. I wanted to share the love, and today I'm bringing you my Top 5 people to follow on Instagram this month!
A Mini Sleek Palette Haul.
Monday, 23 March 2015
It feels like it's been a lifetime since I last bought anything from Sleek. It's not because I don't like the brand or the products, it's just, well I guess I often forget all about their products to be honest. After finding my rose gold blush buried deep in my blusher drawer, I decided to have a look in the drugstore at what else they had to offer.
Margot Robbie Oscars 2015 Inspired Makeup Tutorial
Wednesday, 18 March 2015
I fell in love with Margot Robbie just that little bit more when I saw her make up at The Oscars this year. I knew that if there was one 2015 Oscars makeup look i'd be recreating it was hers. I'd read online somewhere that apparently Margot wore the Hourglass Liquid Lipstick in Raven to the ceremony and although I'd tried 4 different Space NK stores, I couldn't get my hands on that gorgeous orangey red shade. Instead I opted for a drugstore alternative with the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet- Hot Pepper Lipstick. I never usually wear orange toned lipsticks, or red lipsticks at all really, which usually tends to make me feel that little bit more glam when I'm go for it.
Last Minute Mothers Day Inspiration!
Friday, 13 March 2015
So there's 48hrs to go until Mothering Sunday (or Mothers Day) here in the UK and if you haven't picked a gift out just yet, there's no need to panic. I wanted to share a quick gift idea with you that I know my mum would love and maybe yours will too.
I remember when the Marc Jacobs Daisy perfumes first were released, I was obsessed, and I did my best to convert everyone into loving it too. There have been numerous versions since, and with every release the scents are both classy and sophisticated whilst being suitable for women of all ages, which is no easy task.
The Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Set from House of Fraser* is just pure perfection from the moment you open the box. The cool powder blue tones of the bottle really did make me squeal the moment I saw it the first time! I'm so obsessed with this gorgeous shade of blue, and with the daisy embellishment, it just makes the bottle to die for.
I'm absolutely shocking at describing scents, but I'd say it had a fruity sweet smell that isn't overpowering and it reminds me of smelling fresh flowers at a florists.
At £54.00 it's a respectable amount for a 50ml bottle of perfume, shower gel and body lotion. Or £39.00 gets you the perfume alone leaving enough cash left over for a bunch of flowers to go with it!
I'd love to hear what your favourite perfume is! Let me know in the comments!

How do you define beauty?
Thursday, 12 March 2015
Beauty is a word which can conjure a clean and definitive image in our mind every time we hear it. Whether it's a Victoria's Secret model strutting down the catwalk, or a bunch of freshly cut long stemmed roses... beauty is a word which can mean many things, to many people.
