I get asked on an almost daily basis which foundations and concealers are the best for pale skin tones, and this series is going to explore all different types of  products from varying brands and at all price levels which will hopefully help you to make a decision on which foundation and concealer is right for you!

In universal skin tone terms.. I'm an NC15 in Mac. However, Mac isn't really doing it for me at the moment, so i'm on the hunt for a replacement that will be the perfect foundation for My Pale Skin.

Product: Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer - Eclat Clair

Price: £7.99

Packaging:  The Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer comes in a plastic tube with a screw on lid. The concealer is dispersed through an angled nozzle.

Coverage: I'd say that the product gives a medium coverage.

Colour:  The Eclat Clair is the lightest out of the 3 shades in the Healthy Mix Concealer range. It has a fairly strong yellow under tone.

Finish:  Although it is slightly too yellow, I am quite fond of how this concealer applies and looks under the eyes.  The product boasts of 'Anti-fatigue' technology, (whatever that may be) and does well to cover and brighten under my eyes.

Final Verdict: I previously used this concealer in my Dewy Summer Make Up Video. I was hooked then, and after taking a little break from using it... I'm hooked again. If your skin tone is cool toned, then give it a try. but warm under toned skin will likely need a good swatch or two in different lighting to check on the colour.
Be warned ,though as it is on the yellow side and it's a slightly too yellow for NC15 skin, however, as it blends so well, i'm not going to fail it, and as the colour isn't spot on pale person, I believe that My Pale Skin is On The Fence this concealer. Oh what I would give for a paler version of this product. It's so close to being a perfect product, but so far.

As Always, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this concealer or what you'd like me to try next, let me know in the comments.

I popped to Superdrug on my lunch break yesterday and ended up coming out with 2 Lipsticks, 2 Lip Lacquers and 1 Lipgloss! As far as hauls go, this has to be down there with the best value for money, as this lot came to the grand total of £9.00!

Each product is slightly different in colour, texture & formula and I'm really looking forward to trying them out!

I picked up The MUA Luxe Lip Lacquers in Atomic & Criminal for £3 each. I also thought I'd try out a  £1 lip gloss tube in Let's Meet and of course, a lipstick haul is not complete without a matte so I picked up Pouty Pink & Totally Nude also at £1 each!

I've not a clue what to expect with any of these products, but with all of them at £3 and under... I feel like i'm onto a winner. I'm looking forward to trying them out and seeing what looks I can create with them.

Have you tried any  of these products? I'd love to hear your thoughts on them! Let me know in the comments.

August Beauty Wishlist

august wishlist

There are a quite a few products I've found myself pining for this month, so i thought I'd share with you what's currently on my High-End August Wish List!

It seems like no matter where I go on the internet, I keep running into some gorgous looks created using this palette or the V2. I really wish we could buy Tarte products more easily here in the UK. I'll keep wishing, as I'm not sure I can justify an entire Sephora international order for one palette just yet...

There are so many things that are amazing about this palette. You can now mix and match and choose individual pans to make the perfect contour palette  for your skin tone!! As a cool toned pale skinned girl, this makes me so happy... however, it's another product I wish was sold in stores in the UK. Sadly at the moment it's sold out at Cult Beauty so you'd need to import from the US.

The Nars Creamy Concealer is a product I was actually hoping to pick up about 2 weeks ago.. however after a not so great experience at Space NK, I left empty handed. I'm still hoping to pick this up, so I may try to head to Liberty to grab one soon! I'm currently wearing the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, and would love to upgrade.

I am so excited for this Palette to be released. The Naked 2 Basics Palette is filled with 6 cool toned matte shades, and I swear when I pick this little baby up, it will be on my face every day.

At £28.00 for 1.2g of product, the Ombre Blackstar eye shadows are not cheap. However, they are long lasting, luxurious and beautiful to wear. I recently picked up Frozen Quartz, and I have my eye on Velvet Orchid next... I'm slowly aiming to collect the whole set.

Have you tried any of these products?? Which would you recommend? Let me know in the comments...

After months of not wearing any, I've finally fallen back in love with false eyelashes. I recently picked up the Eylure Texture 154 eyelashes on a spur of the moment trip to Superdrug.

As a bleach blonde with hooded eyelids, one of the problems I face when it comes to lashes is finding some which are bold enough to make a statement, but don't swamp my face and make me look ridiculous.

What attracted to to these lashes were how wispy they looked and that they were ever so gently clumped out along the join which makes them a lot more realistic looking.  One of my personal pet hates for false eyelashes on myself is just just a see of  row of black black across my eyelids. When you have fairer skin, they stand out more, so it's best to go for lighter lashes.

On first use, i'm loving these lashes, and I think they may be popping up in various looks on the blog in the future.

What are your favourite eyelashes?? Let me know in the comments!
